Cacti are adapted to life in the desert. Their entire body is green, and the stem is large with thorns covering every part. In fact, these thorns are actually their leaves. This unique structure prevents moisture inside the plant from evaporating into the dry, hot air. Cacti have long roots that dig deep into the ground to absorb water from the soil. Their flowers are usually small and white. Even though they are often overlooked in the desert, they never stop blooming and quietly beautify the sandy landscape.
Summer vacation has arrived once more. I felt delighted to put school worries aside for a while. To avoid wasting this holiday, I created a schedule. First, I decided to review the subjects taught last term to deepen my understanding. Next, I planned to engage in physical activities like walking, running, and rowing to stay fit. It is logical that such a well-thought-out plan would help me make the most of my break. I followed through, successfully achieving what I had set out to do.
Everyone knows that robots are created by humans and operate based on programs designed by scientists. Since robots strictly follow these codes, they theoretically lack life and self-awareness. However, movies often depict a future where robots gain consciousness and pose a threat to humanity. For instance, the classic film *The Matrix* portrayed a scenario where computer programs acted independently and escaped human control. Similarly, the popular series *Westworld* illustrates a world where androids, resembling real people, evolve and rebel against their creators after being upgraded. Although robots remain mere machines today, technological advances might bring unexpected changes in the future.

One day, I hope to travel the world, so learning English well is my initial priority. When my teacher mentioned an English corner located in the main square, I was thrilled to visit. Upon arrival, I noticed several foreigners, which made me feel quite nervous. Initially, I simply listened to their conversations. Although I really wanted to chat with them, shyness and fear of making silly errors held me back. One day, a foreign woman approached me directly. She mentioned having seen me before and encouraged me to speak with her. My heart raced, but I managed to utter a few sentences. Soon, our conversation flowed naturally. I made significant improvements and felt quite proud of my achievement.
