Holiday Day One: I headed to my cousin’s place at the start of the break and heard some great news: his wife is expecting a baby. She mentioned worrying about gaining weight, yet her expression clearly showed joy at becoming a mother. My cousin shared his plans to raise their child well, showing the responsibility of a future dad. I’m truly happy for them. :) Yesterday, our school’s soccer team played against graduate students from the International Business department. The first half was quite close, but we lacked energy in the second half and ended up losing. Half of the National Day break is gone... Life continues with its ups and downs.
Seven Days of Break: We enjoy a week off for National Day. As you know, October 1st marks China’s National Day. During the break, I met three classmates to visit the Yellow River Forest Park. The long bus ride was dull; I almost fell asleep most of the time, and my head even bumped the seat in front early in the morning. After two hours, we finally arrived. Unfortunately, the park disappointed me. It wasn’t interesting at all. Compared to my school, it felt noisy and messy. Although it’s near the Yellow River, the air smelled bad due to many animals like horses and cows. They produce lots of waste daily, but few people clean it up. In short, the park wasn’t as good as I hoped, and I felt quite dissatisfied.
