After spending roughly three hours on a train ride, I finally reached Nanning, the capital of our province and a verdant city in southern China. The trip was quite exhausting. Upon arrival, I met Mrs. Long, who then acted as my guide through the downtown area. We visited several notable spots, including Walmart, Xingning Pedestrian Street, and the Bund. Interestingly, there is a drinking water dispenser on the street that provides free water to passersby. My hometown has similar facilities, but unfortunately, people often misuse them to wash their hands, which eventually damages the machines. In contrast, Nanning residents strictly protect public property. For instance, when a young boy attempted to wash his hands at one such dispenser, his mother stopped him right away and said, "You shouldn't use this water to wash your hands; it is meant for drinking." That evening, I strolled to view the Guangxi People's Hall and the Mendezhdao Shopping Mall. The following day, I rode a bicycle to Langdong New District, home to the Nanning International Exhibition Center, which was constructed for the CAEXPO. Unfortunately, my bike broke down on the way back, but a student from Guangxi University kindly offered me a ride. On my final day, I woke up early to visit Qingxiu Mountain Park. There, I admired the beautiful scenery and offered prayers to the Buddha statues for my future.

College students, full of curiosity and vitality, have a passion for exploring the world; their summer and winter breaks offer ideal chances to do so. There are two main ways to travel: solo trips or joining groups arranged by travel agencies. These two approaches bring distinct experiences, each with its own pros and cons. For those who travel alone, the biggest benefit is independence. They can freely design their routes and manage their time, visiting places that spark their interest and spending as much time as they want admiring historical sites or cultural artifacts. However, the downside is that they cannot share their feelings and excitement with companions. Additionally, booking train tickets and finding accommodation can be time-consuming and challenging, leaving solo travelers quite helpless in emergencies. These issues do not affect group tourists, as agencies handle all arrangements. Within a group, strangers often quickly become friends. Yet, rigid schedules and fixed plans stop travelers from satisfying their personal interests. Moreover, tourists frequently face forced shopping trips pushed by guides who care more about commissions than service quality. My solution to these imperfect travel methods is to journey with friends or classmates. This approach combines the benefits of both styles while avoiding their drawbacks. I firmly believe this is the most sensible and effective way to travel, one that everyone should adopt.

Traveling is a wonderful pastime. When you feel exhausted from your studies or job, or simply when you have spare time, you can visit scenic spots or charming cities to soak in the natural beauty. Breathing in fresh air, meeting new folks, and making friends are all great for your well-being. However, trips aren't always smooth sailing. The weather can be unpredictable; it might rain unexpectedly, or you could fall ill during the journey. Therefore, preparation is key before heading out. First, check the weather forecast carefully. Second, invite a companion along so you can look out for one another. Finally, stay vigilant to avoid accidents. If you follow these tips, you are sure to have a delightful trip.
